Tantti® SpherTantrix

Tantti® SpherTantrix, with its unique 3D porous structure, is tailored to encourage fast formation of cell spheroids. It offers cost effective solutions in high-throughput drug/content screening, 3D tumor/organ engineering, cell-base diagnostics, and 3D cell culture research (e.g. cancer cell biology and stem cell biology). We have demonstrated its flexibility in anti-tumor drug screening using various tumor cell lines and uniform spheroid clusters were easily observed and consistent between wells. In addition, Tantti® SpherTantrix contains animal-component-free materials and has ultralow fluorescent background to meet your versatile research or development needs.

High-Throughput Screening (HTS) for Drug Development Applications

 

Drug discovery is an essential step during new drug development. Due to the lack of standard procedure and protocol, scientists were unable to predict the progress of new drug discovery. Recently, new drug development has been improved by using appropriate and efficacious lead compounds from drug compound library. However, this approach is often time-consuming and at high failure rates. To accelerate new drug discovery, High-Throughput Screening (HTS) has been developed for selecting appropriate lead compounds. This HTS/HCS technology including 3D cell spheroid culture in a lot-to-lot consistency well-plate and high-sensitive detection automation device is able to evaluate the interaction between active lead compounds and cell responses.

 

3D Cell Culture for High-Throughput Screen Application

 

At the beginning of HTS, an in vitro 2D tumor model was first used in tumor drug screening. However, the suggested lead compounds were inconsistent with later in vivo study results. As a result, many 3D cell culture technologies mimicking in vivo environments have been developed to form cell spheroids for drug screening and obtain more clinically relevant lead compounds. Within these 3D spheroid models, a consistent and reproducible spheroid in each well of HTS plates is the most crucial and desired factor to ensure reliable screening results.

 

 

Introduction of Tantti® SpherTantrix

 

Tantti® SpherTantrix is a 3D porous structure that can accelerate the formation of cell spheroids and provides useful applications in high-throughput drug/content screening, 3D tumor/organ engineering, cell-base diagnostics and 3D cell culture researches (e.g. cancer cell biology and stem cell biology). In an anti-tumor drug screening study revealed that the clustered spheroids from various tumor cell lines on Tantti® SpherTantrix are uniform, easy to observe and consistent between well to well. In addition, Tantti® SpherTantrix is animal-free and cost effective to meet your versatile research or development needs.
